I want to share a simple story. When I was younger – in the 70’s – I purchased an MIA bracelet and it had LT GORDON SAMUEL PERISHO name on it. 

I never found out his fate until I visited the memorial. I had always hoped he would be found and alive. But as you know that wasn’t the happy ending that I prayed for.  

Anyway I found his name over 25 years ago on the wall. Today I was thinking of him again. talking to a co-worker about the bracelet and found this article about him. LCDR John Darlington Pearce and LT Gordon Samuel Perisho.  Now I know what had happened too.  

I never knew him but he and all the other soldiers are in my heart. My thanks to you and all for service and sacrifice you gave for me, my children and now my grandchildren, and most of all our country.
