Hello All,
Some of you may be familiar with Task Force Omega. For more than forty years this organization has been at the forefront of efforts to account for all of our MIAs in Southeast Asia, and elsewhere. For many years they had a website, www.TaskForceOmegaInc.org, however it is no longer online. This is a great loss as their research and records were second-to-none. I am happy to announce that I will be working with Patty Hopper, one of the directors of Task Force Omega, to bring those records back to the Internet. This will be done either by restoration of their website, or the hosting of their extensive records on Rolling Thunder Remembered (RTR). Either way, all RTR records will be cross-referenced to corresponding Task Force Omega records. We hope to begin that process in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
On another front I continue to work on the redesign of Rolling Thunder Remembered, with a fresh theme design and many new features to help in finding specific information. You may have noticed the new “On This Day in Rolling Thunder Remembered History” section on the banner of the homepage. This feature, which shows anniversaries of RTR events based on the current date, will be a part of the redesign. Also added is a new search engine which will show results of the search terms as they are inputted. The search terms will also be highlighted in the results. Lastly, those who can benefit from it, I have also added an option to manipulate the web site to make it easier to read. Look for the blue circle on the right side of your browser.
